Work/Life Balance

At VCUHS, we take great pride in the fact that we pioneered many of our work/life balance programs decades ago – long before balance was a trend. In fact, our onsite childcare program started 22 years ago, the first of its kind in Richmond that has grown into three centers serving more than 300 families.

We recognized early that employees who are supported at work to be great moms and dads, daughters and sons, husbands and wives, end up being stronger members of our team.

We know that life in healthcare is tough. So we do our best to take care of our employees as well as their families. It only seems fair.

VCU Health System makes the prestigious “Best 100 Companies for Working Mothers” list published annually by Working Mother magazine for the second year in a row.
