“I love the fact that we play a key role in
easing the stress of family life. I love my staff, the parents and
the other hospital employees. But most of all, I love every single
child that I have ever taught.”
Patsy Moon, Director, VCUHS Child Development Centers |
DaycareDeciding who will care for your children while you work is among the most personal and difficult decisions a family can make. At VCUHS, we strive to make the decision simple for you by offering top-notch, accredited care for our employees’ children. We also do our best to make our centers feel like home. We opened our first child development center in 1982 under the direction of pediatric nurse Patsy Moon. Decades later, Patsy is still our director, and has grown our program from one center for 35 children to three centers serving more than 300 families. Families in our childcare program enjoy:
Our childcare centers also offer these additional benefits:
“When schools closed this year due to snow,
they offered free childcare to my five year-old that is not even enrolled
in the center, which I found to be nothing short of amazing. They did
everything possible to accommodate every child with a parent who needed
to work.”
Christina Blottner, Surgical Nurse VCUHS also offers discounted rates at other community based day care centers. |
