New Employee Orientation

Getting acclimated with VCUHS is an important part of starting your career off right. That’s why we host New Employee Orientation (NEO) twice a month to welcome our new employees and provide them with critical information in a fun and casual environment.

The first day of NEO includes:

  • Networking opportunities with other new employees
  • Interaction with our leaders
  • Discussions on our mission, vision, values, and goals
  • Updates on HR policies
  • Overviews on philosophy for customer service and patient career
  • Training on environmental health and safety issues, infection control, and personal safety tips.

It’s a lot to take in, but we believe you’ll find the training informative and beneficial as you start a career whether you’ve been in health for three months or 30 years. And don’t worry, our human resources pros are accessible at any point to answer your questions.

Employees who are benefits-eligible also will attend a half-day session where all benefits are explained and employees have the opportunity to ask questions and complete benefits forms.
