It is astounding the number of impressions we make every day, on each other, on our patients and on our community. Indeed, for 175 years, we have made everlasting impressions on the health of those we care for, educate and employ. And through world-class research, we are touching multitudes more who we will never know. Achievements, accolades, breakthroughs and discoveries aside, making an impression often only requires a smile, a pat on the back, a comforting word, a shoulder to lean on or even a borrowed ear. Each year, hundreds of thousands of Richmonders, Virginians and others seek our help. And we give it, one patient, one kind word, one hand held at a time.
