Adult Volunteer Opportunities at VCUHS
Thank you for expressing your interest in volunteer opportunities at the VCU Medical Center! There is a great need for people to give their time, energy and talents to serve our patients and their families while they are cared for in our health system. No matter how big or small your assignment is while you volunteer, your presence has a powerful impact.

Besides knowing that you are truly helping our patients and staff with the gift of your time and energy, adult volunteers will receive:
• Free parking in the Patient and Visitor Deck
• Free meal on the day of service
• Free health screening and TB test upon joining and then annually
• Free flu shot each fall
• Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon
Steps to become a volunteer:
- Fill out application form and return to Volunteer Services. To download the application form click here (adult application).
- Once we receive your application, we will contact you to begin gathering necessary health information* from you and to schedule an Orientation Session. Please click here (orientation sheet) for more information about the health screening process and orientation.
*In order to volunteer at VCU Medical Center, all volunteers must complete a health screening with Employee Health.
