New Employee Orientation

Getting acclimated to VCUHS is an important part of starting your career off right. That’s why we host New Employee Orientation (NEO) twice a month to welcome our new employees and provide them with critical information in a fun and casual environment.

Orientation is considered a work day. Please be respectful of your employer and your colleages and wear business casual attire (no shorts or jeans, please). For your comfort, we suggest that you bring a light jacket or sweater as well.

The first day of NEO includes:

• Networking opportunities with other new employees
• Interaction with our leaders
• Discussions relating to the mission, vision, values, and goals of VCUHS 
• HR policy review 
• Overviews on philosophy for customer service and patient career
• Presentations from environmental health and safety, infection control, and the VCU Police

We believe you’ll find Orientation informative and beneficial. Our human resources pros are accessible at any point to answer your questions.

Employees who are in a benefits-eligible position, will attend a half-day session where benefits are presented. Employees will have the opportunity to ask questions of our benefits staff and complete benefits forms.
