VCUHS records more than 30,000 admissions and more than 500,000 outpatient visits each year. VCUHS is ever expanding our state-of-the art operating rooms, patient rooms, clinical areas and common spaces. Our downtown medical campus is located on 31 acres, offering nearly 200 specialty areas encompassing more than 750 beds. Our newest addition, the Critical Care Hospital will yield 10 of the most advanced operating rooms and will improve our ratio of semi-private to private rooms from 37 to 70 percent with 232 new adult patient beds.
