The Department of Otolaryngology provides diagnosis and treatment of various ear, nose, throat, head and neck complaints for patients of all ages. The department has fully-equipped examining rooms and provides prompt quality care including upper airway endoscopy and limited office surgery. Ambulatory surgery facilities are available at both our locations. For extensive procedures requiring a hospital stay, the Otolaryngology Unit is state-of-the-art in comfort and technology.
Our pediatric otolaryngology practice includes the full spectrum of head and neck disorders in children. This includes the management of ear infections, hearing loss, neck masses, and rhinosinusitis in children. Of particular interest is the management of the pediatric airway, feeding disorders and sleep apnea in children.
The Division of Otology/Neurotology provides state of the art care for patients with Meniere’s disease and other causes of dizziness, chronic ear infections, tinnitus, facial nerve disorders, hearing loss necessitating semi-implantable hearing aids and cochlear implants, and acoustic neuromas.
The Division of Audiology is a vital service offering specialized hearing and vestibular testing, hearing aids, and facial nerve testing. The cochlear implantation team, one of the most experienced in the country, provides rehabilitation for deaf adults and children.
The Division of Speech Pathology is equally critical in the care of many Otolaryngology patients, from those with mild articulation and voice disorders to those learning to speak with electronic aid following cancer surgery. Working as a team, the entire staff offers a progressive and caring approach to all ages, presenting a broad range of otological, rhinological and laryngological solutions to this specialty.
