VCU Medical Center and Children's Hospital have joined together, forming Children's Hospital of Richmond. Together, we are a full-service children's hospital that offers a robust continuum of pediatric services, research and education. It's a new day for pediatric health care in Virginia.
Our location on Brook Road in Richmond offers inpatient, day patient and outpatient services providing evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for a variety of short-term and lifetime medical conditions. To serve the growing number of families who depend on us we also have therapy centers in other Virginia locations, including Bon Air, Glen Allen, Fredericksburg, and Petersburg. All of our facilities are staffed by a team of devoted medical professionals who provide expert and loving care in an atmosphere of respect, compassion and dignity. Our core services are listed below:
- Our Pediatric Therapy Program serves more children than any other in the region and does so with five area locations to meet the needs of the families we serve.
- Our Transitional Care Unit provides developmentally appropriate inpatient care for children and young adults with complex medical needs, within a supportive, family-centered environment.
- Our Multispecialty Clinics for cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spasticity and spina bifida bring together numerous disciplines at one time, allowing families to get the expertise they need for their child’s care all in one place.
- Our Pediatric Dental Program provides comprehensive services—from routine checkups to complex surgical procedures—to all children, including those with special health care needs.
- Our Children’s Feeding Program, one of only a few programs of its kind in the entire country, helps children who have a medical condition that has affected their feeding and growth.
